FLO Chennai Hosts Prestigious Annual Session & Change of Guard Event with Notable Guests

FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) Chennai chapter hosted its highly anticipated Annual Session & Change of Guard event, on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024.

The event featured distinguished guests, including H. E. Kevin Kelly, Ambassador of Ireland to India, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Additionally, Prabha Narasimhan, Managing Director of Colgate Palmolive India Ltd, was welcomed as the Guest of Honour.

The highlight of the event was the transition of leadership, with Raji Raju stepping down as the outgoing Chairperson for the term 2023-2024, and CMA. Divya Abhishek taking charge as the incoming Chairperson for the term 2024-2025. The event marked a significant moment in the chapter’s journey, as it bids farewell to a dynamic leader and welcomes a new era of leadership.

 

Raji Raju, the outgoing Chairperson, reflected on her tenure, stating, “It has been a privilege to serve as the Chairperson of FLO Chennai. I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to the empowerment and growth of women in our community. As I pass the baton to my successor, I am confident in the continued success and impact of FLO Chennai under Divya Abhishek’s new leadership.”

CMA. Divya Abhishek, the incoming Chairperson, expressed her enthusiasm for assuming the leadership role, stating, “I am honored and excited to take on the responsibility of leading FLO Chennai into its next chapter. I am committed to building upon the foundation laid by all my predecessors, including Raji Raju, and working further towards the advancement of women in our society.”

FLO Chennai has the maximum number of certified mentors from Virginia Tech and has given 50+ mentorship hours to FLO mentoring mentees pan India. This year, FLO Chennai leveraged CSR from corporates like Saint Gobain, PPD Pvt Ltd, and Life Fitness, expanding its reach and impact. Chennai also hosted the interstate regional conference where delegates from 19 chapters pan India attended the 2-day regional conference.
