Equitas Small Finance Bank today marked its 10th Foundation Day with the inauguration of its new headquarters, Equitas Towers, in Chennai. The milestone event brought together eminent leaders from the financial and business sectors, along with the Bank’s leadership team, employees and stakeholders, to celebrate a decade of growth and mark the beginning of a new chapter in its journey.

Equitas Towers was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. C. Rangarajan, Chairman, Madras School of Economics, Former Chairman, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister and Former Governor, Reserve Bank of India, in the presence of Mr. N. Rangachary, Former Chairman, IRDAI, Former Chairman, CBDT and Former Chairman, Equitas Holdings, the Guest of Honour, Mr. M. A. Alagappan, Former Chairman, Murugappa Group, and Mr. M. Anandan, Founder & Executive Chairman, Aptus Value Housing Finance India Limited, the Special Guests for the event.

The celebrations commenced with a meet and greet, followed by the symbolic Lighting of the lamp by the distinguished guests, reflecting Equitas’ journey, expanding footprint and aspirations for the future. A cultural programme added to the celebratory spirit of the occasion.

The formal proceedings began with a welcome address by Mr. Arcot Sravanakumar, followed by addresses by Mr. P. N. Vasudevan, Managing Director & CEO, Equitas Small Finance Bank, and Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma, Chairman, Equitas Small Finance Bank. The Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and Special Guests also addressed the gathering, reflecting on Equitas’ decade-long journey and sharing their perspectives on its future.

The occasion also witnessed the launch of When Organisations Win, authored by Dr. Sangeeta Shankaran Sumesh. The book explores leadership, organisational culture and governance, offering insights into the principles that enable organisations to build sustainable success. Following the launch, Dr. Sangeeta Shankaran Sumesh addressed the gathering and shared key perspectives from the book.
The 10th Foundation Day celebration marked more than a milestone for Equitas Small Finance Bank. It reflected the institution’s evolution and its commitment to strengthening customer relationships, responsible governance and long-term value creation. The inauguration of Equitas Towers also signals the Bank’s readiness for its next phase of growth. With its expanded workplace infrastructure and capacity to accommodate more than 1,000 employees, the new headquarters is designed to foster greater collaboration, employee engagement and operational excellence.

As Equitas embarks on this new chapter, the Bank remains focused on building a resilient, customer-centric and responsible institution, drawing on the experience of the past decade while looking ahead to the opportunities of the future.
