TechnoSchool Takes STEM & AeroSpace Education to New Heights with Global Aerosports to Schools

Chennai, September , 2026: TechnoSchool, a leading ICT and STEM education partner for schools, launched Global Aerosports, a pioneering initiative dedicated to transforming aerospace education through innovation and experiential learning. The initiative was launched by the Chief Guest, distinguished Indian space scientist Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, Chairman, Curriculum Design Committee for School Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, in the presence of other dignitaries.
Global Aerosports aims to introduce school students to the fascinating world of aerospace through hands-on learning, practical exposure and technology-driven experiences on Aeromodelling, Rocketry, Drone Technology, Space Technology and Astronomy. The initiative seeks to go beyond conventional classroom learning by enabling students to explore aerospace concepts through experimentation, design, problem-solving and innovation.
Addressing the gathering at the launch, Distinguished Chief Guest Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, Padma Shri awardee and popularly known as the ‘Moon Man of India, said: “I was fortunate in my younger days to be appreciated and encouraged by my elders for my work and learning. That experience has stayed with me and I continue to learn every day, and strive to be better than I was yesterday. Lifelong learning is the foundation of personal growth and national progress. Indian aerospace today stands at a level where the world recognises our capabilities. To move forward, we need skilled human capital and the right infrastructure, and these are increasingly coming together. This is creating tremendous opportunities for our youth. When I was young, opportunities to experience space and aerospace were limited; visits to ISRO and NOVAS opened my mind to possibilities beyond what I knew.
“Today, our youngsters have opportunities we could only dream of, and initiatives like this provide a launch pad for them to explore, experiment and innovate. We must prepare our young people to be lifelong learners, moving beyond rote learning towards analytical thinking, problem-solving and hands-on experience. STEM and emerging technologies such as AI must become part of this journey. At the same time, the experience of elders and the energy and ideas of youth must come together. India’s young generation has a tremendous future, not only within the country but on the global stage” he added.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Mylswamy said: “Ultimately, recognition matters less than the impact our knowledge creates—how far it travels and how many lives it transforms. Science is not meant for an individual or a nation; it is meant for the progress of humanity. When knowledge, experience, technology and youthful imagination come together, we can build a better future for India and the world”.
Dr. M. R. K. Menon, Founder and Chief Mentor, Global Aero Sports, said, “When a student goes for counselling, they are often told what they should pursue. But today, with AI, drones, robotics, rocketry and aerospace opening up new possibilities, we need to give children exposure to these fields and let them discover what excites them. Dr. Menon appreciated TechnoSchool for bringing Dr. G. Madhavan Nair, Ex ISRO Chairman and Distinguished Space Scientist as Chief Advisor for its curriculum and for taking aerospace education to school children. “Aerospace, rocketry and robotics must reach rural schools in a much bigger way, because that is where we can identify talent early and nurture the future scientists of ISRO and the global space ecosystem. Having worked in this field for nearly 18 years, I have seen how empowering teachers can multiply this impact. Through the Aerospace Ambassador Programme, trained teachers take this knowledge to students, creating a sustainable model of learning” he added.
Speaking about the programme, he said, “Our weekend certificate programme is designed to complement, not disrupt, regular schooling, while a full-term programme is also being developed in collaboration with the government. Along with aerospace education, career assessment, counselling and SWOT-based assessment will help children understand their strengths and make informed choices about their future. These opportunities should not be limited to a few; they must reach every nook and corner of the country. If we truly want to make India a great nation, technology experts and educators must come together, identify talent, empower teachers and create pathways for continuous learning. Together, we can help children dream beyond the sky and build an aerospace ecosystem that positions India strongly on the global stage”.
