Abu Dhabi/Dubai/Sharjah – June 21, 2025:
Venues across the United Arab Emirates transformed into vibrant wellness arenas on Saturday as thousands of residents came together to celebrate International Yoga Day 2025. From Dubai to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, the day witnessed massive public participation, as people embraced the ancient Indian practice that enhances physical health, emotional balance, and inner peace.
In Abu Dhabi, the celebration began at 10 AM at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), with yoga mats covering the floor and serene music setting the tone. Expert instructors guided the crowd through a sequence of yoga postures and breathing techniques. The event was attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sania Mirza, former Indian tennis star, and Sanjay Sudhir, Indian Ambassador to the UAE.
In a special segment, Ambassador Sudhir honoured a young achiever, Zayne, recognizing his inspirational story and contributions. “We are celebrating Zayne’s achievement and yoga together. Yoga teaches us focus, balance, and discipline. His story inspires all of us,” said the ambassador.
