CHENNAI, 04.04.26:
Mr. Rhevanth Charan of Thamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam on Saturday (04.04.26) filed his nomination papers for Maduravoyal Assembly Constituency.
In a show of colour, strength, and popularity several hundred party cadre took part in procession by foot to the nomination centre of Regional Development Officer, Greater Chennai Corporation, Nolambur.
The cadre wore face masks of Mr. C. Joseph Vijay, Founder Leader of Thamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam to convey to people that not just each candidate, but all the party members were Vijay themselves. Enthusiastic and bright young women and men raised slogans in praise of Mr. Joseph Vijay and the State of Tamil Nadu.
They said the current elections would be a watershed moment not just in the electoral history of Tamil Nadu, but the whole of India. The party cadre, said they were not part of a party’s election campaign, but a movement of change and development. Carrying the party flag and photos of Mr. Joseph Vijay and ‘Whistle’ their party symbol, the party cadre were confident that Tamil Nadu was in the right course for a change.
After submitting his nomination papers to Mr. Satheesh Kumar, the Returning Officer, Mr. Rhevanth Charan told media that he was thankful Mr. Joseph Vijay for giving him an opportunity to contest as a first-time candidate in a key Assembly Constituency of Chennai. “Maduravoyal is among the fastest growing localities and the government had not given people here their due. The previous incumbents of the Constituency have not fulfilled the basic needs or aspirations of the people here.
“I know the pulse of my fellow citizens here. People need a change from conventional politics and they expect young and honest elected representatives, which only Thamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam and our leader Mr. Joseph Vijay can deliver,” Mr. Charan said.
If elected, his priorities would be fixing the glaring gaps in basic infrastructure, ensure safe and protected drinking water in all areas, he said. While appealing to people to vote for Thamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam on its Whistle symbol, he called upon voters to strengthen the hands of the party’s Founder Leader Mr. Joseph Vijay, and empower all sections of Tamil Nadu and thereby be the change agent that the State so desperately needs to take it to heights of economic growth and development and ensure social harmony and unity.
