The festive season commenced with the Christmas Cake Mixing Ceremony and the lighting of a Sustainable Christmas Tree, symbolizing the brand’s commitment to mindful celebrations and eco-conscious hospitality. This year, the event was elevated with the introduction of a Grand Wine Tasting session, expertly curated by a wine sommelier. A Curated Evening of Festivity
The evening’s celebrations unfolded across the beautifully adorned Lobby, the iconic Royal Mile, and the architecturally stunning Dome — brought to life by an impressive 18-foot Christmas tree. The festive ambience set the perfect stage for a series of captivating highlights and memorable moments
Elevated Wine Tasting: Guests were welcomed with the cheerful sounds of festive Christmas melodies and treated to an exclusive wine-tasting experience, masterfully curated by Sommelier Praveen Krishnamurthy
The Grand Mix: Following the tasting, the Cake Mixing Ceremony commenced. Guests gathered around the decorated table, donning white caps and aprons to mix 120 kgs of dry fruits with alcoholic beverages.
A Magical Parade: The children were then ushered in a parade from the Lobby to the tree lighting location by Wonderland Characters like Reindeers and Snowmen, transitioning the event into the final magical moment.
Tree Lighting and Carols: The event culminated with the performance of 30 Carol Singers and the grand Christmas Tree Lighting, officially illuminating the hotel for the season. The ceremony featured a sustainable tree lighting. Instead of lighting a conventional Christmas tree, guests planted saplings on a custom-designed metal frame shaped like a tree, highlighting the hotel’s dedication to eco-conscious practices. Each sapling will continue to be nurtured, embodying a sustainable approach to the festive spirit.
A special exhibition of Anglo-Indian–themed cartoons by renowned artist Harry MacLure was showcased at the event, celebrating the vibrant heritage and humour of the Anglo-Indian community.
