Grand Inauguration of Chennai Institute of Pulmonology
Chennai, July 2, 2025 – In a major milestone for respiratory healthcare in Tamil Nadu, the Chennai Institute of Pulmonology was officially inaugurated today at the CFC Multi-Speciality Block, Nelson Manickam Road, Aminjikarai, Chennai. This state-of-the-art facility is envisioned to be a centre of excellence in the diagnosis, treatment, research, and education of pulmonary and respiratory diseases.
The institute is led by Dr. Koushik Muthuraja Mathivanan, a distinguished pulmonologist and the Founder – Director of the institute, whose commitment to advanced lung care and patient education has been pivotal in the creation of this centre. Supporting this vision is Dr. Sabarinath Ravichandar, Co-founder, eJoint Director, who brings a wealth of clinical expertise and leadership in critical care and interventional pulmonology.
The Chennai Institute of Pulmonology is equipped with cutting-edge technologies including advanced bronchoscopy suites, pulmonary function testing labs, allergy testing units, smoking cessation clinics, and a comprehensive sleep and respiratory rehabilitation program.
The institute also places a strong emphasis on public health awareness, early diagnosis, and preventive lung care.
