Paterson Cancer Center organized Free Cancer Detection Camps from 19th to 22nd for General Public

Chennai, 19th June 2025: Paterson Cancer Center Pvt Ltd has completed its 22nd years and entered into 23rd anniversary. It has been started with the purpose of Cancer Free Society In India, as envisaged by none other than the 11th President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam who was the Chairman of Paterson Cancer Center, prior to becoming the President of India.

Paterson Cancer Center maintains its purpose of conducting awareness camps both for children and general public, Free Cancer Detection Camps and Continuing Medical Education for general physician and specialist.

In this year, the camp has started on Thursday the 19th of June 2025 and extended up to Sunday the 22nd of June 2025. The inaugural function was attended by more than 100 people.

Shri N Arunachalam, the retired District Judge was presiding over the function. During his speech, he insisted upon the role of early detection, as his mother died of Metastatic Adeno Carcinoma Of Liver – Primary Colon and about which no one was aware of (40 years ago) requested all the press and media people, you tubers to spread the message and convince the public to participate more in such camps. As a Judge he felt that even his 60th birthday should be celebrated only by conducting such camps in his village rather than giving parties and gathering crowd

Dr B Kumaravel MD., Managing Director of Vijay’s Nursing Home, has nicely explained that the simple tumor markers can give a clue of the possibility of the erupting cancers even though the persons may be looking normal.

Dr S Krishnan MD., Managing Director of Srinivasan Rajalakshmi Memorial Hospital, has requested in his address that the Deputy Mayor should conduct similar awareness camps within The Greater Corporation Of Chennai

Dr Soundarajan Nephrologist was also requesting the Deputy Mayor to start compulsory cancer detection camps for all the corporation workers, employees in the respected Corporation hospitals.

Shri Eldred Kumar, film producer was thrilled about the whole event and thanking Paterson Cancer Center team for conducting public camps at Thangachimadam where he was born. He was relating his Association with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam when he was young.

The Deputy Mayor – Shri Mahesh Kumar spoke well about the importance of such camps and narrated the role of Corporation in bringing health awareness and sanitation of the public places to prevent epidemic and endemic diseases for which he as a mayor is part of.

Shri PT Govindarajan, Trustee, CALF (Cancer Alleviation Foundation) served the vote of thanks and the ceremony ended with National Anthem.
